PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex controller capable of performing control whose reliability is high without damaging the stable operation of the duplex controller. SOLUTION: A main system controller 1 and a stand-by system controller 2 are provided with arithmetic processing means 10 and 20 for executing the arithmetic operation of control data and information data, control system communicating means 12 and 22 for communicating the control data through a control system line 4, information system communicating means 13 and 23 for communicating the information data through an information system line 5, storage means 11, 15, 21, and 25 for storing data necessary for the arithmetic processing of the arithmetic processing means 10 and 20, and state monitoring means 14 and 24 for monitoring the state of the other system controller. When any abnormality is caused in the information system communicating means 13, the main system controller 1 switches it to the stand-by system information system communicating means 23 to continue the operation.
