PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsional damper for preventing the extrusion of a sealing agent to the outside when press-fitted in with strong force, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The torsional damper 10 has sealing agent sump grooves 40, 42, 44, 46 formed in an outer peripheral face 22A of a first metal ring 22, an outer peripheral face 26A of a second metal ring 26, an inner peripheral face 34A of a horizontal portion 34 of a mass fitting 28 and an inner peripheral face 32A of a body 32 of the mass fitting 28. The sealing agent enters into the sealing agent sump grooves 40, 42, 44, 46 when the mass fitting 28 is pressed therein. The sealing agent is therefore prevented from being extruded to the outside and viscose fluid filled in internal spaces S, T is prevented from flowing (leaking) to the outside.
