To produce foodstuffs in a given shape, which contain minced meat, the food mass in placed within a ring-shaped mold and is compressed within the mold by and axial pressure to a state of stability, using a ring-shaped die. The food mass is wrapped in a film before compression and, after shaping, is deep frozen.
