<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage service that allows a user who desires to store an amount of data exceeding an upper limit of storage to store the data temporarily and deletes unnecessary data afterwards. <P>SOLUTION: This is a data storage method in a data storage service that stores data in an information processor connected to a network. An upper limit of an amount of storage of the data to be stored in a first storage area is set. According to comparison of the sum of the amount of data stored in the first storage area and a data to be additionally stored, and the upper limit of storage (S1103), the additional data are stored in a second storage area. The user is then instructed to delete the stored data. In a of delete instruction, the user is offered a plurality of choices (S1104) including deletion of the stored data of an excessive amount of data after the additional data are stored.
