PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input circuit in which the application of a high voltage exceeding element withstand voltage is prevented, and an active status/a stand-by status can be switched at a high speed. SOLUTION: When a status is switched to a stand-by status by turning off a pMOSTr 14 (a first current control means), the output voltage level of a first differential amplifier circuit 15 is discharged to a ground potential through an nMOSTr 25 (a first current source) to turn off an nMOSTr 26 in a level shift circuit 16. The output voltage level of the level shift circuit 16 is discharged to a second power supply V2 of the ground potential through an nMOSTr 27 (a second current source). Thus, the voltage level of a third functional block input signal IN3 is promptly decreased to be as low as around the second power supply V2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
