PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more effectively attenuate vibration applied on an external storage device even without dependence on an increase in the thickness of a buffer member regarding the structure of mounting the buffer member made of a thin-plate elastic material for attenuating vibration transmitted between a storage part and the external storage device to a space between the external storage device incorporating a disk recording medium in a casing and the storage part thereof disposed in an information processor. SOLUTION: A buffer member 4 is projected from the upper surface 3a of the casing 3 of an external storage device 2, and partially fixed in a screw hole 3d predisposed on a side face 3c by a screw N. Thus, the buffer member 4 is elastically deformed excluding its partially fixed part, and an excellent dampening effect is obtained without depending on a projection thickness from the upper surface 3a.
