<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a temperature rise inside an image forming apparatus, and to improve image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an image forming part for forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrified image carrier and forming a visible image by sticking developer to the electrostatic latent image, a belt arranged in contact with the image forming part so as to freely travel, a temperature detecting part for detecting the temperature of the belt, and a control part for controlling an image forming processing on the basis of the detection temperature by the temperature detecting part. In this case, the temperature of the belt is detected, and a printing processing is controlled on the basis of the detection temperature, then, the temperature rise inside the image forming apparatus is suppressed.
