<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an image capable of realizing a simple security system by using a function of a module provided in an image forming apparatus formed with combined modules, and to provide the image forming apparatus, a computer program and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A module such as a scanner section 12, a mail bin stacker section 19, or the like is combined with a printer section 11 as a center, and then the image forming apparatus 1 can perform a plurality of image output processes corresponding to each of the modules. When an image having confidential information is output, an image output process capable of making the content of the image secret is selected from the plurality of image output processes to be performed. The means for selecting the image out process is realized by a computer program for controlling the image forming apparatus 1.
