PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress electric waves by stopping an electric wave communication means in specified locations, such as hospitals and aircrafts. SOLUTION: A communication device 10 comprises a region detection section 11, which detects whether it is in an inhibit area, where the communication device 10 is inhibited to communicate by the radio waves, or a warning area which is adjacent to the inhibit area, based on a medium other than the radio waves emitted in each area; an indicator 17 and a voice output and input section 19, which report by an image or voice for users of the communication device 10 that the communication device is in the warning area, if it is detected that it is in the warning area; a stop receiving section 14a which receives stop of the function of the radio wave communication section 12 from the user, and stops the function, if it is reported that it is in the warning area, and a stop control section 12 which stops the function of the radio wave communication section 12, if it is detected that it is in the inhibit area.
