BAR CORD READING APPARATUS FOR CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision when reading the bar code recorded on a splice tape of a Brownie (R) film. SOLUTION: A photosensor 33 detects the light reflected from the bar cord recorded on the splice tape for splicing a filmstrip to light shielding paper in the early stage when the Brownie (R) film is fed. An element brightness/darkness discriminating circuit 36 compares a photoelectric signal outputted from the photosensor 33 with a threshold and detects the boundary of each element of the bar cord. A reflected light quantity fluctuation detecting circuit 35 monitors the fluctuation of the light quantity reflected from each element. A feeding amount correcting circuit 37 measures the width of each element from the number counted by a pulse counting circuit 22, corrects the measured value according to the fluctuation of the reflected light quantity and corrects an error of the measured width of each element.
