PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic train control device capable of densification by shortening an interval between trains. SOLUTION: This automatic train control device is devised to decelerate speed of the train 3 as a speed checking means 13 outputs a braking command when speed of the train 3 exceeds speed of a speed checking pattern by receiving a target stopping position 4 of the train 3 from the ground and generating the speed checking pattern in correspondence with an inclination of a route 2 to the target stopping position 4 by a speed checking pattern computing means 12 on the train, and the speed checking pattern computing means 12 generates the speed checking pattern in correspondence with an average inclination of each of the inclinations of a first route and the second route until a rear end of the train 3 passes an inclination changing point after a head end of the train 3 passes the inclination changing point of the first route and the second route changing the inclination on a route 2 where the first route and the second route respectively different in inclination are continued to each other.
