PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device having a function of positioning a shaft to a door main body and a function of temporarily holding the shaft and the door main body and further performing a function of cleaning a rack formed on the door main body. SOLUTION: A male engaging portion 26 is protrusively formed on the shaft 15 and a female engaging portion 28 is formed on a surface of the door main body 23. A through hole 29 extending along the radial direction of the shaft is formed to the shaft 15 and a hole 31 is formed to the surface on a side on which the rack 24 of the door main body 15 is formed. Only when a pinion 17 of the shaft 15 correctly engages with a gear 24 of the door main body 23, the male engaging portion 26 is engaged with the female engaging portion 28 and the shaft and the door main body are temporally held by locating the through hole 29 and the hole 31 at a corresponding position and inserting a tool 34 into the through hole 29 and the hole 31. A foreign matter removing member 38 cleaning the rack 24 of the door main body 23 is positioned in the radial direction of the pinion 17 of the shaft 15. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
