<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of continuously printing without generating a temperature rise in a battery and capable of printing by effectively utilizing a battery power source. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal printer is provided with a voltage detecting means for detecting the temperature of a battery b, and a carrying interval changing means for changing a time interval when carrying the printing medium M at the predetermined distance with carrying means 2a and 3.
