PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely separating and concentrating an aromatic halogen compound in high efficiency from oils. SOLUTION: The aromatic halogen compound is safely separated and concentrated in high efficiency from the oils containing the aromatic halogen compound by extracting the halogen compound by using an extraction solvent free from a sulfur component, having very high extraction and separation ability, and containing 1,3-dialkyl-2-imidazolidinones.
