The invention relates to a deadbolt(1) of a lock comprising means for detecting the presence of the deadbolt (1) of the lock in a strike plate. The inventive deadlock (1) is provided with a plurality of unipolar magnets (3) which are arranged near the free end (4) thereof according to a predetermined configuration. The strike plate is provided with magnetic polarity detection units which are arranged in accordance with the magnets (3) position on the deadbolt (1) when it is deeply introduced into the strike plate. Said detection units are connected to an electronic control unit for signalling the presence of the deadbolt (1) in the strike plate when each detection unit detects the presence of the unipolar magnet (3) allocated thereto.
