PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processor in which a data processing speed does not drop. SOLUTION: An image processor is provided with an interface 210 for transmitting and receiving image data transmitted from a data holding device 100 in the state of being arranged on the same image bus 300, header interpretation parts 211A and 211B for interpreting a compression form from compressed image data, an expansion part 220 for expanding the compressed image data, a compression part 240 for compressing the expanded image data, and a data processing part 250 for processing the image data. In the image processor, the compression form of the compressed image data whose compression form is unknown is detected by the header interpretation parts 211A and 211B and the image data kept compressed without being expanded are inputted to the data processing part 250 in the case of the same compression form.
