PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge mechanism for a game machine with which a hinge connection can be carried out stably. SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism for the game machine is provided with a rocking member 150. At the rocking member 150, a shaft engaging part 152 which engages with a shaft 113 and a guide part 153 connected with the shaft engaging part 152 are formed. When the shaft 113 is introduced into a guide hole 133, it is abutted on a guide part 153. When the shaft 113 is moved forward along the guide hole 133, the rocking member 150 is rocked toward a non shaft engaging position. When the shaft 113 is positioned at a shaft hole 132, the rocking member 150 is rocked toward a shaft engaging position by biasing force to engage the shaft engaging part 152 with the shaft 113. Thus, the shaft 113 engages with the shaft hole 132 in a state where moving of the shaft 113 to a guide hole 133 is regulated by the rocking member 150, and rocking of the rocking member 150 can be regulated by a locking member 160 in a state where the shaft engaging part 152 engages with the shaft 113.
