<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring method capable of a quick response on the occurrence of abnormality of a network, and to provide a network system thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The network system is provided with a transmission system diagram consisting of a central device display unit 10a, a main line display unit 11a, a branch line display unit 12a, and a relay amplifier display unit 20a at the central device side. Also, each of the units 20a is provided with an abnormality indicator lamp 21, a head display unit 22 and a power supplier system display unit 23. When abnormality occurs in the network, related information such as information about the state of the output voltage of each relay amplifier, information about a system of relay amplifiers and information about a power supplier system are obtained. The above information is simultaneously displayed on the system diagram. When the unit 23 lights, the power supplier system is preferentially investigated. In the case of system abnormality, the relay amplifier whose unit 22 is on is investigated, and in the case of individual abnormality, an individual relay amplifier is investigated.
