PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover case for a recording medium for rent or sale, in which a discoid recording medium, such as CD or the like, is encased and a housed disc is kept stable without play, and from which the recording medium can be removed without using an unreasonable force. SOLUTION: On the base center of a body 1, a support pedestal 5 having a bearing surface 13 on which the center of the recording medium is placed, is formed projectingly. Two slit grooves 9, 9 are formed at the center of the bearing surface of the support pedestal 5 in a mutually separated prescribed distance. Arms are formed between both slit striations, and pairing engaging projections 10a, 10b are formed on the front ends of both arms, respectively. An outer peripheral edge 6 against the center of the support pedestal 5 is formed to project from a base surface 4. The engaging projections 10a, 10b are fitted into the center hole of the disc, of which the outer periphery is placed on the outer peripheral edge 6 to be supported. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
