PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer for controlling game machines which enables a game parlor or the like to conduct an inspection of lawfulness on a game machine after the installation in the game parlor without losing credibility of the inspection by the police which is performed on the installation of the game machine. SOLUTION: A protocol determination means determines whether a protocol, used in communication performed through a signal line 2 from an inspection device 3, is relevant to one of the protocols stored in a protocol storage means in a control chip 1. The communication with the inspection device 3 by a communication control means is made possible based on the determined protocol. The communication by the communication control means is refused unless the protocol determination means determines the protocol used in the communication by the inspection device 3 is relevant to the protocol stored in the protocol storage means.
