<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a lithium battery and the lithium battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium battery adopts the separator for the lithium battery having an elasticity coefficient of 2.0 kgf/mm<SP>2</SP>or less.
