<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-setting composition for a color filter which causes no pinhole repellence on the surface coated with an overcoat layer and has satisfactory development margin and development latitude, and to provide a color filter and a liquid crystal display device obtained by using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The photo-setting composition comprises a colorant (a), an alkali-soluble resin (b), a photosensitive polymer component (c), a photopolymerization initiator (d) and a solution (e). Especially, the photo-setting composition contains acid component monomer (1), alkyl polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene (meth)acrylate (2) and an acrylic copolymer A (3) as the alkali-soluble resin (b).
