The fin and downward lifting wing system is especially used for a short kiteboard under 150 cm long. A fin at the rear end of the board prevents pitching and diving by having wings set at a negative angle of incidence to prevent lifting of rear end of the board. The angle of incidence is typically 1 to 2 degrees.
