SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REGISTERING/VERIFYING SMART CARD CERTIFICATE FOR USER MOVING BETWEEN PKI DOMAINS

PURPOSE: A system and a method for registering/verifying a smart card certificate for a user moving between PKI(Public Key Infrastructure) domains are provided to make an external terminal certify the smart card by making a certification authority of an external domain use the certificate electronically signed from the certification authority of a home domain stored in the smart card. CONSTITUTION: The smart card(100) stores the certificate of the first certification authority(300) placed in the home domain. The second terminal(700) is placed in the external domain, transmits the certification response using the certificate of the first certification authority of the smart card to the second certification authority(600) placed in the external domain, and transmits the certificate of the second certification authority transmitted from the second certification authority responding to the transmitted certification response to the smart card.
