PURPOSE: Methods for inhibition of cell necrosis induced by neurotrophin are provided, thereby inhibiting nerve cell necrosis induced by neurotrophin without affecting apoptosis of nerve cells induced by neurotrophin, so that the method is useful for inhibiting damage of brain cells by nerve diseases and stimulating regeneration of damaged brain cells. CONSTITUTION: The method for inhibition of cell necrosis induced by neurotrophin comprises administering an oxidative toxicity inhibiting agent selected from NADPH oxidase inhibitor, vitamin E or its derivative and tetrafluorobenzylamino salicylic acid derivative, wherein the NADPH oxidase inhibitor is selected from diphenylene iodonium(DPI) and 4-(2-aminoethyl)-benzylsulfonyl fluoride(AEBSF); the vitamin E derivative is trolox; and the tetrafluorobenzylamino salicylic acid derivative is selected from BAS (5-benzylaminosalicylic acid), TBAS (5-(4-trifluoromethylbenzyl) aminosalicylic acid), NBAS (5-(4-nitrobenzyl) aminosalicylic acid), CBAS (5-(4-chlorobenzyl) aminosalicylic acid), MBAS (5-(4-methoxybenzyl) aminosalicylic acid), FBAS (5-(4-fluorobenzyl) aminosalicylic acid), and 2-hydroxy-TTBA (2-hydroxy-5-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-trifluoromethyl-benzylamino)-benzoic acid). The method for inhibition of both cell necrosis and apoptosis induced by neurotrophin comprises administering an oxidative toxicity inhibiting agent together with neurotrophin, wherein neurotrophin is selected from NGF, BDNF, neurotrophin-3 and NT-4/5.
