摘要 PURPOSE: An iodine-based polarizing film having improved durability, a manufacturing method therefor, and a polarizer using the same are provided to enhance the durability under high temperature by immersing a polyvinyl alcohol film in a solution containing boric acid including saponin. CONSTITUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol film includes saponin and iodine is absorbed and aligned therein. The polyvinyl alcohol film includes quillaja saponin of saponin. A method for fabricating a polyvinyl alcohol film includes an orienting process, a dyeing process, an immersing process, and a rinsing process. The orienting process is to orient uniaxially the polyvinyl alcohol film. The dyeing process is to dye the polyvinyl alcohol film in an aqueous solution containing iodine. The immersing process is to immerse the dyed polyvinyl alcohol film in a solution containing boric acid. The rinsing process is to rinse the polyvinyl alcohol film after the immersion treatment in the aqueous solution containing boric acid.
