The dashboard (1) has upholstery (7) on a rigid support plate (5) to cover an external side (9) of the plate. A mobile control unit is housed in the plate. The upholstery has an external fitting surface (17) and number of protrusions (19, 27). The protrusions are supported on the external side of the plate, and delimits in a deformation space (21) formed by air cells/cavities of the upholstery for conferring its flexibility. An Independent claim is also included for a vehicle with a dashboard.
