PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrown-in medal sorting device of a game machine having a sorting function which, even if a player pokes a return button lightly for operation so as to operate for returning an inappropriate medal of large diameter or thickness which has been thrown in mistakenly, prevents the false passage of the inappropriate medal to accurately prevent its false loading. SOLUTION: An auxiliary opening and closing plate is arranged between the opposing faces of a main body and an opening and closing plate. In the initial stage of depression of the return button, the auxiliary opening and closing plate is held at its closing position against an operation force of the return button.
