LIGHTING DEVICE AND ITS USE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device including a detector means configured to detect a reduced lighting zone in an overlapping zone and a control means configured to increase light flux from a second lighting module when the detector means detects the reduced lighting zone.

SOLUTION: The lighting device which illuminates an illumination field 4 comprises a light source 12 having first and second lighting modules 16. The lighting module 16 is configured to illuminate an illumination domain 30 in the illumination field. The illumination domain 30 forms an overlapping zone 32, and each of the lighting modules 16 defines overlapping volume 42. The device includes a detector means 24 configured to detect a reduced lighting zone in the overlapping zone 32 and control means 18, 22 configured to increase light flux from the second lighting module 16 when the detector means 24 detects the reduced lighting zone. The present invention is applicable to lighting devices for use in an operating room.
