<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively elongate the retention time of a resin in a twin screw extruder to prevent the whole apparatus from getting longer in the twin screw extruder used in the treating apparatus for converting a waste plastic into fuel, and used for degassing chlorine in the resin constituting the waste plastic. <P>SOLUTION: The screws 1 of the twin screw extruder used in the treating apparatus for converting the waste plastic into the fuel have some kneading discs 4, 4 incorporated therein. The kneading disc 4 has a part between a tip part 6 and a surrounding part 7 of a shaft hole, hollowed out so as to leave side parts 8, 8 to form a hollow hole 9 communicating with a space in the cylinder. By forming such the hollow hole 9, the space in which the resin stays is increased to elongate the retention time of the resin, and the waste plastic is decomposed so that chlorine gas may be generated and separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
