摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength separating element which is free of deterioration of transmission image and reflection image even when arranged in a convergent luminous flux. SOLUTION: The wavelength separating element is arranged in the convergent luminous flux generated in the optical path of a microscope and separates incident light into reflected light and transmitted light according to its wavelength. The wavelength separating element is equipped with a dichroic optical member, which is so configured that light transmitted through the member and light reflected by the member have nearly equal wavefronts, thereby providing the wavelength separating element which is free of deterioration of a transmitted image and a reflecting image even when arranged in the convergent luminous flux.
