PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a fluid pressure device by reducing the manufacturing cost of a cylinder cover of the fluid pressure cylinder device. SOLUTION: In the fluid pressure cylinder device 1, a piston is formed so as to slide in the axial direction on an inner peripheral surface of a cylinder tube 11 closed with the cylinder cover at both end surface. A retaining member 16 with a ring shape is installed between the cylinder cover 14 and an end surface of the cylinder tube 11. The retaining member 16 is positioned and locked by being sandwiched and compressed punching and pressing with the cylinder cover 14 and the cylinder tube 11. A cushion ring 19 for performing cushion action by inserting a cushion boss 12b installed in the piston 12 is movably retained between the end surface at the inner peripheral surface side of the cylinder cover 14 and and the end surface of the inner peripheral surface side of the retainer member 16.
