<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating container for food, which is excellent in heat insulating properties, ensures appropriate strength, is injection-molded so as to have a thin thickness without a fear of short shot, excellent in moldability, and has lightweight properties. <P>SOLUTION: The heat insulating container for food is injection-molded so that a closed-end container body 3 has vertically extending longitudinal ribs 7 radially protruding from an outer peripheral surface thereof.
