PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation management system that prevents an unnecessary monitoring burden from exceeding a range necessary for trend analysis and fault analysis of system operation. SOLUTION: A management computer has an interface for receiving an operation performance value of every first monitoring item from a target computer, and a control part for specifying a second monitoring item to be sampled in relation to a first monitoring item according to the operation performance value of every first monitoring item, and commanding the target computer to sample an operation performance value of the second monitoring item.
