<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose handleability can be improved by performing two or more kinds of paper ejection stop/release action corresponding to operation at paper ejection stop/release designating time and the difference of operation timing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an ejection part for accumulating ejected paper by controlling the height of an elevation tray so that the uppermost surface of the paper on the elevation tray has a specified height difference from a paper ejection port, a paper ejection stop/release designating means for designating the stop of paper ejection to the ejection part or the release of the stop, and a job accepting means for accepting a job to form an image and inhibiting the acceptance of the job when it is the job to eject the paper to the ejection part from designating the stop of the paper ejection by the paper ejection stop/release designating means until designating the release of the stop thereby. It controls so that action at job stopping time or job restarting time may differ (S13-1 to S13-N and S15-1 to S15-N) by making the operation of the paper ejection stop/release designating means differ or making the operation timing differ (S12). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
