PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressurizing pin for die casting formation having excellent mechanical characteristic and long service life. SOLUTION: The pressurizing pin 1 for die casting formation is provided with a radical nitriding treatment layer 3 having 50-100μm thickness on the surface. Desirably, further, a PVD(Physical Vapor Deposition) layer 4 is arranged on the radical nitriding treatment layer 3 and particularly, the PVD layer 4 is composed of AlTiN or CrN having low stickiness on an aluminum alloy.
