A technical information evaluating device for judging whether or not a technical literature belongs to a new field on the basis of technical literatures easy to collect among intangible assets. A technique evaluating device is also disclosed for analyzing the value of a company accurately on the basis of technical literatures by obtaining data on the values of intangible properties of the company quantitatively or qualitatively. According to the invention, a keyword in a technical literature being searched is acquired, the number of technical literatures containing the keyword from the population of the technical literature being searched is counted, the ratio between the counted number of technical literatures and the total number of technical literatures in the population is calculated, and the similarity of the technical literature is calculated.
