PURPOSE: An electronic device and a method for forming the same are provided to lengthen an electron flight path and reduce the size of spot of focused electron emission beam. CONSTITUTION: An electronic device comprises a substrate(8); a well(12) defined in the substrate; a tip emitter(10) formed in the well; an extractor(14) disposed around the well so as to extract emissions from the tip emitter; and a wide lens(16) for focusing the emissions through an opening defined in the wide lens. The opening has a sufficiently large diameter and is sufficiently spaced apart from the extractor such that the sufficiently large diameter of the opening surrounds a divergence angle of the emissions and the emissions are focused by the wide lens so as to form a spot.
