<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new bone cement having an apatite forming ability. <P>SOLUTION: For this bioactive bone cement, an anatase TiO<SB>2</SB>particulate having an average particulate diameter of 10 nm to 10 μm which imparts at least the apatite forming ability is blended by 40 to 80 pts. by mass, and a mixture of a polymethacrylate powder of which the weight average molecular weight Mw is not less than 10,000 and a methacrylate monomer, for which the mass ratio is in a range from 5:1 to 1:5, is blended by 20 to 60 pts. by mass. In addition, bone cement compounding agents such as a polymerization initiator and a polymerization promotor are blended. By mixing the anatase TiO<SB>2</SB>particulate which is stable in vivo in the bone cement, a high apatite forming ability can be imparted to the cement.
