<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop discharge device which can quickly suck fluid from a plurality of drop discharge heads, an elctro-optical device produced by using the drop discharge device, a method for producing the electro-optical device by using the drop discharge device, and an electronic device having the electro-optical device. <P>SOLUTION: The drop discharge device has the drop discharge heads, a plurality of caps 87 installed corresponding to each drop discharge head, a suction force generating means generating the suction force of each cap 87. Fluid can be sucked from the heads through the caps 87. The caps 87 are divided into a first group 701, a second group 702, and a third group 703. Each group comprises at least one cap 87.
