PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display method capable of enhancing moving picture display grade by preventing light leakage of a backlight and reducing the blotting of an image edge. SOLUTION: A selection signal is supplied to one row line among row lines from n-th line to n+m-1-th line ((n) and (m) is a positive integer) among a plurality of row lines, at the same time, a data signal is supplied to each of a plurality of column lines and, thereby, a prescribed data signal is supplied to a pixel corresponding to the one row line among a plurality of pixels. After or before this, a selection signal is supplied to at least one row line among row lines from first line to 1+m-1-th line among a plurality of row lines, at the same time, a black display signal is supplied to each of a plurality of column lines and, thereby, the black display signal is supplied to a pixel corresponding to at least the one row line among a plurality of the pixels.
