PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of simultaneously operating a plurality of applications such as a copy application, a printer application, a scanner application and a fax application. SOLUTION: When a rotation request is generated, an image format is checked. When the image format is binary, a rotating device 1 is used, when the image format is quaternary, a rotating device 2 is used, and in the other cases, a rotating device 3 is used. When a selected rotating device is used, a use status of the rotating device is checked, and if the rotating device is not in use, the rotating device is started to perform rotation. If the rotating device is in use, image formation is waited until the rotating device becomes not in use. This enables the plurality of applications to operate simultaneously.
