METHOD OF IDENTIFYING NUCLEOTIDE POLYMORPHISM

A method of identifying a nucleotide polymorphism which comprises reacting a nucleic aid sequence containing a specific nucleotide polymorphism site in a sample with an oligonucleotide for wild type and one or more oligonucleotides for mutants, wherein at least one of them is labeled, either simultaneously or separately and then treating with a nucleic acid-specific labeling to thereby identify the nucleotide polymorphism based on the interaction between the labeling and the nucleic acid-specific labeling; and a kit for identifying a nucleotide polymorphism occurring in a specific nucleic acid sequence contained in a sample which contains an oligonucleotide for wild type and one or more oligonucleotides for mutants, wherein at least one of them is fluorescence-labeled, a polymerase and a nucleic acid-specific labeling.
