PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping wheel for automobiles capable of reducing noise attributable to the wheel and the vibration propagating the wheel. SOLUTION: The vibration damping wheel W for automobiles comprises a rim 22 with a tire 10 fitted thereto, a hub 24 disposed on the center of the rim 22 and coupled with an axle (not shown), a plurality of spokes 26 disposed radially around the hub 24 to couple the rim 22 with the hub 24, and an piezoelectric element 12. The piezoelectric element 12 to be strained by the vibration of the spokes 26, and dissipate the vibration of the spokes 26 and damp the vibration of the spokes 26 by converting the strain energy caused by the vibration into the voltage (the electric energy) is provided on the spokes 26. The vibration of the spokes 26 is damped by providing the piezoelectric element 12, and the noise attributable to the wheel and the vibration propagating the wheel can be reduced thereby.
