PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair-type massage machine capable of holding massage arms which have massage balls arranged thereto to a forwardly inclined state to apply suitable massage effects. SOLUTION: In the chair-type massage machine equipped with the massaging shaft 40 arranged to a massage unit 20 almost horizontally, the shaking levers 33 and 33 pivotally supported on the massaging shaft 40, the massage arms 32 and 32 pivotally supported on the leading ends of the shaking levers and massage balls 31 and 31 arranged to the massage arms at positions set obliquely upward with respect to the pivotal support positions of the massage arms and the shaking levers, an arm locking mechanism 80 for holding the massage balls in a forwardly pushed-out state is provided in connection with the massage unit to tiltably support the arm locking rods 83 and 83, which are provided in connection with the massage arms at positions eccentric from the pivotal support positions of the shaking levers, at one end thereof and forwardly inclines the arm locking rods to hold the massage arms so as to push out the massage balls forwardly.
