PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device in which each display unit 101 reads video data corresponding to an address without setting the address to the display unit 101 with an address setting switch. SOLUTION: The video display device is equipped with a plurality of display units 101 which read video data out of a video data signal to display a picture represented by the video data and a display control part 120 which performs control so that position information indicating a position where the video data are read out of the video data signal is outputted to a display unit 101 to display the picture. The plurality of display units 101 are connected in order so that position information is inputted and outputted in order, and each display unit 101 reads video data out of the video data signal at the position that inputted position information indicates, processes the inputted position information according to a previously set rule, and outputs the processed position information.
