The floor covering, which meets electrostatic discharge (ESD) standards, comprises a horizontal and conductive base coating. The covering layer is an adhesive with a scattering of silicon carbide granules, with a grain size larger than the adhesive layer thickness to give a non-slip surface. A copper wire at the base coating is connected to earth. The covering layer can incorporate colored flocks.
