<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function of reducing power consumption and preventing the forgetting to cut power supply by automatically performing the power supply input/interruption of electronic equipment such as a printer connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: A LAN control part 4 provided in the printer 1 controls the communication with PCs 2a-2c through a hub 3, and receives a printing job or the driving state of each client PC. A RAM 5 is a memory for storing the information of the client PC, and stores the connecting state, driving state or the like of the client PCs 2a-2c, which are used as data for grasping the driving state of the whole network.
