PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot pin and a holder for the spot pin which stably form spots having the same shape when a biomolecular solution contacts a substrate and is attached to the substrate. SOLUTION: The spot pin is used for bringing the biomolecular solution having solved or dispersed biomolecules into contact with a surface of the substrate, attaching the biomolecular solution to the surface of the substrate and arraying and fixing the biomolecules on the surface of the substrate. In the spot pin, a capillary flow path having a capillary structure for generating a capillary phenomenon is formed in the axial direction, the capillary structure has at least one of a plurality of grooves and a plurality of holes, and an opening of the capillary flow path is formed at an end contacting the surface of the substrate.
