PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the supplied power of a power amplifier is provided to previously prevent the generation of the undesired power consumption by applying an optimum power to the power amplifier. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling the supplied power of a power amplifier includes an amplifier(10), a power supplier(14) and a controller(12). The amplifier(10) amplifies the level of the input signal to a predetermined level and outputs the amplifier input signal. The power supplier(14) supplies the power to the amplifier(10). And, the controller(12) variably controls the voltage level of the supplied power in response to the level of the input signal and the gain of the amplifier(10).
